Why the American tin whistle music ? well there's plenty of sites already with Irish and English folk songs on the penny whistle, but not so much international music for the whistle. There's lots of excellent tin whistle players in America and that's why I've included some of the folk tunes and songs from the United States. Some marching songs, gospel music and general folk songs from Bob Dylan to Peter Paul And Mary.

Why No Pop Songs On Tin Whistle ?
This is mainly because the tin whistle is seen as a folk instrument and is used primarily as an accompaniment on folk songs and in traditional Irish music. There's no reason not to use the whistle in other forms of music and there have been a few, namly Paul Simon ''You Can Call Me Al'' and a few others.

There's no reason why any popular band can't add a whistle player to their group, the sound will never be out of place unlike adding a recorder. A good whistle player sound sweet with the backing of a guitar player, with the tin whistle being such a domanant instrument there's little chance of it being ''drouned out'' by any other musician. If using a P.A. system stand about a foot back from the microphone so as not to make shatter the windows.
